She was predeceased by: her parents, Bayne Edward Phipps and Lexie Phipps; and her sisters, Linda Phipps and Betty Jean Phipps. She is survived by: her husband Hoyt Grissom of Elkin; her son Jeffery Charles; her daughter-in-law Joni Grissom of Navarre, Florida; her sister Joyce Phipps of Orlando, Florida.; her grandchildren, Jordan Luisi and Jeffrey Charles Grissom of Loxley, Alabama; her great grandchildren, Jeffrey Grissom, Jace Grissom and Shep Grissom; her nieces, Carolina Del Moral Alvarez, Amanda Spears, Maggie Spears and Kaylin Fluet; and her close friends, Tinia Wallace and Robert Laing.
