He was predeceased by: his parents, Coolidge Layell and Pauline Ingool Layell; his sister Priscilla Sparks; his brother-in-law Clyde; and his nephew Clyde Jr..
He is survived by: his children, Lisa Rogers (Joel), Michael Layell (Michele) and Shannon Routh (J. J.); and his stepdaughter Beverly Butts (Randy). He is also survived by two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
