He was predeceased by: his parents, Moses Leonard Durham and Versie Gammons Durham; his former wife Kay Melton Durham; his wife Bonita Hardy Durham; his brother Jerry Durham (Joan); and his siblings-in-law, Rex Melton and Wanda Hanes (Ralph).
He is survived by: his son Chip Durham (Becky) of Elkin; his brother Carl Durham (Sue); his sister-in-law Judy Melton of Elkin; his grandchildren, Jordan Durham (Megan) of Roaring River and Madison Durham Martin (Ryan) of Summerville Ga; and his great grandchildren, Oliver Martin, Willow Martin, Lucas Durham, Katelyn Kennedy, Natalie Martin, Erin Kennedy and Ally Kennedy.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Gum Orchard Baptist Church (152 Poplar Springs Rd, Elkin, NC 28642). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
