He was predeceased by: his parents, Coy Ernest Shore and Addie Kennedy Shore; his children, Dwight Shore and Carol Casstevens; and his siblings, Louise Hodge and Billy Shore.
He is survived by: his wife Naomi Shore; his sisters, Mary Harrison, Pauline Finney and Barbara Finney; and his grandchildren, Amanda Rorrer, Angela Miller, Mark Goins and Melissa Mason. He is also survived by twelve great grandchildren and 9 great great grandchildren; two nephews and one niece.
