It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Hilary Alexander Carter (Elkin, North Carolina), who passed away on July 21, 2025, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parent Bramlett Worth; his grandmother Bauguess Carter; his son Mark Carter; his brother Fred Carter; his grandson Stephen Barker; and his sons-in-law, Teddy Ermal Barker and Tommy Dean Whisnant.
He is survived by: his wife Raydell Wolfe Carter of Elkin; his daughter Lynn Barker Whisnant of Morganton; his daughter-in-law Kim Carter of Virginia; his sister Judy Kate Williams (Huw) of Winston-Salem; his grandchildren, Jason Carter, Brandon Carter and Jessica Carter; his great grandchildren, Aaliyah, Zoe, McKenzie, Kayleigh and Bailey; and his great great grandchild Semirha.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 24th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Elkin Funeral Service (560 North Carolina 268 W, Elkin, NC 28621).
