She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Eugene Parks (Pearl Byrd Parks) and Pearl Byrd Parks; her husband James Walter West; her son Daryle Connely West; her half-siblings, Zenith Smithey Mclver and Isaac Smithey; and her brother Eugene Parks.
She is survived by: her daughter Sheila Price (James) of Piedmont; her grandchildren, Amy Eller (John) of Huntersville and James West of Wooster, Ohio; her great grandchildren, Noah, Brooke and Eva Eller; her sister Pauline Barker; and her daughter-in-law Brenda West. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, March 15th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Benham Baptist Church (8697 Greenhorn Rd, Elkin, NC 28621). A funeral service was held on Saturday, March 15th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, March 15th 2025 at the same location.
