He is survived by: his parents, William Edgar and JoAnn Pinnix Haynes; his wife Buffie Luffman Wiles; his daughter Jessica Prescott; his siblings, Billy Haynes (Renee) of Lewisville, Sherry Powell (Larry) of Jonesville, Yvonne Pardue of Hays, Lisa Lyons (Greg) of Millers Creek, Rita Flippin of Winston Salem and Kaye Harris of Mt. Airy; his close friend Jenn Schurich; and his pet Bandit. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the Johnson Funeral Home (615 W Main St, Elkin, NC 28621).
