She was predeceased by: her parents, William Clade and Clara Shelton Sams; her siblings, Hassell Sams, Wayne Sams, Jesse Sams and Clara Nelson; and her son-in-law David Bud Smith.
She is survived by: her children, Jeremy Hutchens (Virginia) of Reidsville, Sandra Smith of Reidsville and Tara Dollyhigh (Troy) of Browns Summit; her sister Jackie Mills of Elkin; and her grandchildren, Taylor, Ethan, Caden, Sophie, Azuree, Henry, Diego and Parker. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Chatham Nursing and Rehabilitation Memory Care Unit, 700 Johnson Ridge Road, Elkin, NC 28621.
