Johnny Cox Obituary
We bid farewell to Johnny Cox (Elkin, North Carolina), whose journey of life gracefully concluded on June 1, 2025 at the age of 77. Johnny touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude Cox and Margie Norman Cox. He is survived by: his siblings, Don Cox (Gail) and Janet Cox-Hurt; his wife Guylene Wright Cox; his son Brent (Kelli); his grandchildren, Reagan and Taylor; his son Jonathan (Stephanie); his grandchildren, Lily and Sam; and his sister-in-law Janice Lambey (Tommy). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 7th 2025 from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM at the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church (118 N Elkin Dr, Elkin, NC 28621). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 7th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the 4-G Campaign at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church 593 Pleasant Hill Drive, Elkin, NC 28621, or to Mountain Valley Hospice, PO Box 325, Dobson, NC 27017. A special thanks to all who have been supportive of the family during John's long journey with Alzheimer's.
