He was predeceased by: his parents, Linville Couch and Faye Couch; his son James Edward Couch; his brother Eddie Couch; his brother-in-law Frank Becker; and his stepson Jerry Gilchrist.
He is survived by: his son Linville F. Couch; his siblings, Lena Baynes (Lacy), Judy Becker and Freddie Couch (Peggy); his grandson Jesse Couch (Sarah); and his great grandchild Elias Couch. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
