She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Harris and Eileen Frohne Harris; and her brothers, David Harris and Charles Harris. She is survived by: her children, Brian Hammond of State Road, Peter Hammond (Crystal) of State Road, Teresa Wood of State Road and Joyce Andrews (Junior) of State Road; her sisters, Anna Crouch (Randy) of Kansas and Celia Franz (Jay) of Kansas; her grandchildren, Jennifer Andrews, Rachael Andrews, Reeves Andrews, Luke Andrews, Matthew Wood (Niya), Rachel Hammond and Olisa Hammond; the father of her children James Hammond; and her grandchildren, Ayla and Mason. She is also survived by several great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Johnson Funeral Home (615 W Main St, Elkin, NC 28621). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
