With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Nell Dezern Hill of Elkin, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 7, 2026 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Charlie Arvil Dezern and Jessie Scott Dezern; her siblings, William Matthew Dezern (Mack), Paul Jackson Dezern (Jackie), Lorene Lineberry, Charles Dezern and Marlene Taylor; her granddaughter April Michel Hill; and her great grandchild Noah Lee Hill.
She is survived by: her sons, Dean (Jolene Hill) and Daryl (Rhonda Hill); her siblings, Larry Dezern of Hermitage and Peggy Jumper of Walkertown; her grandson Chad Hill (Amanda); and her great grandchildren, Austin Haynes (Jane), Ashlyn Marshall (Maddox) and Aiden Haynes. She is also survived by grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren.
