Though Rebecca may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, her essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Gilmer C. Boles and Ruby Welborn Boles. She is survived by: her husband Tim Darnell; her son Timothy Scott; her daughter-in-law Shannon Graham Darnell of Black Mountain; and her grandchildren, Carter G. Darnell and Davis W. Darnell.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 7th 2025 from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM at the Elkin Funeral Service (560 North Carolina 268 W, Elkin, NC 28621). A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, October 7th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the United Methodist Church (6440 Austin Traphill Rd, Elkin, NC 28621).
Flowers will be accepted, and memorials may be made to the Elkin Valley Baptist Church Building Fund, 118 N Elkin Dr, Elkin, NC 28621, and/or the Charity United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund, 2497 Roaring Gap Church Rd. Thurmond, NC 28683.
