He was predeceased by: his parents, Robbie Joe and Barbara Cheek Gentry; and his grandparents, Bobby Joe and Jane Gentry. He is survived by: his wife Shanda Chipman Gentry; his sons, Briggs McCoy Gentry and John Bryce Vestal (Kurtlyn) of High Point; his brother Tony Wayne Gentry of Mt. Airy; his grandson John Brady Vestal; his aunts and uncles, Sandra Galehouse, Tammy Anderson, Barry Gentry and Joey Gentry; and his nephew Ethan Gentry.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
