He was loved and cherished by many people including: wife: Cindy Louise Jeffers Cochran; sons: Bradley Lee Cochran (Renea), Daniel Guy Johnston (Jean), Michael Ray Johnston; daughter: Kathleen Nichole Johnston (Dan Cook); grandchildren: Cameryn Ronald Johnston-Dolph, Brady Cochran, Owen Cochran, Jacob Cochran, Branden Johnston (Olivia), Kory Done, Ashlyn Johnston, Ellie Johnston, Brantley Johnston; great-grandchildren: Everleigh Shaffer, Freya Shaffer, Lorenzo Shaffer; preceded in death by first wife: Pamela Kay Ferguson Lorenzo; preceded in death by daughter: Carla Kay Cochran; officiant: Rev. John Newton; and many aunts, cousins, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church (1997 Pleasant Ridge Rd, Greensboro, NC 27410). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice in Ron's name.
