She was predeceased by: her parents, Barney Franklin and Cora Belle Norman; her husband Leo Golden; and her siblings, Maynard, Paul, Harold, Tom, John Norman and Jean Norman Wood.
She is survived by: her children, Brenda Mitchell (Vernon) of Millers Creek and Michael Golden (Deborah) of Winston-Salem; her grandchildren, Natasha Mitchell Nielsen (Kris) of Mechanicsville, Lauren Golden of Raleigh and Parker Golden of Charlotte; and her great grandchild Landen Nielsen of Mechanicsville. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Mining Ridge Baptist Church (3815 Mining Ridge Church Rd, State Road, NC 28676).
