With sadness, we share the passing of Stuart Elizabeth Simmons Couch (Elkin, North Carolina). Stuart, born on March 22, 1930, passed away on September 6, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Vernon Simmons and Emma Dale Brown Simmons; her former husband Lonnie Herman Couch; her son Larry Samuel Couch (Sam); her grandson Robert Christopher Graham; her son-in-law Robert F. Graham, III (Bob); and her siblings, Lee, Leff, Lonnie, Frank Simmons, Ruth Blackburn, Myrtle Pearl Wood and Ella Mae.
She is survived by: her daughter Glenda C. Graham; her grandson Dr. Jonathan Stuart Graham; her fiancé Tara; and her daughter-in-law Jeanette Couch. She is also survived by several loving nieces and great-nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, September 13th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church (1997 Pleasant Ridge Rd, Greensboro, NC 27410). A funeral service was held on Sunday, September 13th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
