He is survived by: his wife Frances Mounce; his sons, David Mounce (Tina) and Jonathan Mounce (Rebecca); his sister Raydell Newman (Bobby Joe); his grandson Caleb Mounce (Ella); and his brother-in-law Tim White.
Visitation was held on Sunday, August 23rd 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Elkin Funeral Service (560 North Carolina 268 W, Elkin, NC 28621). A graveside service was held on Sunday, August 23rd 2026 at 2:30 PM at the Bessie's Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery (622 Bessies Chapel Church Rd, Elkin, NC 28621).
