She was predeceased by: her parents, Jesse Monroe Freeman and Flossie Belle Newman; her husband Dr. Eldon Parks; and her daughter Denise Parks Crater. She is survived by: her daughter Beth Parks (Bill Hall); her niece Cathy Albergo (Frank); and her nephews, John Hollar III (Susan) and Tommy Hollar.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 at 1:30 PM at the Hollywood Cemetery (451 N Bridge St, Elkin, NC 28621). Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the First Baptist Church of Elkin (110 Gwyn Ave, Elkin, NC 28621).
