He was predeceased by: his parents, William "Preston" Greene and Mary "Pug" Fowler Greene; and his grandson Cecil Alexander Greene. He is survived by: his children, Alan Dale Greene Jr. (Kaade) of Forest City, NC and Amanda Greene of Shelby, NC; his siblings, William "Bill" Greene of Ellenboro, NC, Shannon Greene of Ellenboro, NC and Crystal Greene of Ellenboro, NC; and his grandsons, Zachary Caleb Greene, Owen Ryan Greene, Leland Curtis Greene, Waylon Cooper Jones, Wade Connor Jones and Lewis Alan Greene.
A memorial gathering was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Harrelson Funeral Home (1251 US Highway 221a, Forest City, NC 28043).
