It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Donnis Irene Jones Smith of Ellenboro, North Carolina, who passed away on January 25, 2023, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Odell Jones and Louis Smart Jones; her husband Donald Richard Smith; her children, Ricky Smith and Diane Hodge; and her siblings, Clyde Jones, G. W. Jones, Max Jones and Shirley White.
She is survived by: her daughters, Connie Burgess (Eddie) of Ellenboro, NC and Helen Emery (David Hamrick) of Shelby, NC. She is also survived by six grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, four great great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
