He was predeceased by: his wife Sara; his parents, Herbert Hobby and Trula Hobby; his sister Sondra Faye (Sara Stroud Hobby); and his daughter Cindy Hobby Ammons.
He is survived by: his daughter Dr. Jill Hobby; his sons-in-law, Dr. Philip Meyette and Martin Ammons; his siblings, Claudia Kennedy and Donnie Hobby (Diana); and his son Khen Huynh. He is also survived by neighbors and many friends.
