He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Lamar Rhyne Sr. and Elizabeth Byers Griffin. He is survived by: his significant other Susan Stanley; his children, Bobbi, Cristin, Todd and Robin; his grandchildren, Caleb, Destiny and Dylan; and his brother John Rhyne (Irene). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, September 13th 2026 from 1:30 PM to 3:00 PM at the Padgett & King Mortuary (227 E Main St, Forest City, NC 28043). A funeral service was held on Sunday, September 13th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the Padgett & King Chapel (227 E Main St, Forest City, NC 28043). A burial was held on Sunday, September 13th 2026 at the Oak Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery (1507 Oak Grove Church Rd, Ellenboro, NC 28040).
