She was predeceased by: her parents, Ophas Roland Short and Lillian Betty Smawley Short; her husband Jake William "Dub" Beaver; her daughter Sandy Smith; her grandson Travis Demetro; and her siblings, Russ Short, Leighton Short, Bob Short, Iris Jones, Jane Berman and Teresa Bona.
She is survived by: her son Roger Newton (Melanie Hester); her grandchildren, Carissa Reynolds (David) and Lamar Smith (Taryn Batton); her great grandchildren, Blake Buchanan, Luke Buchanan, Grant Reynolds, Maddy Demetro, Mason Demetro, Aiden Smith, Zoey Smith and Knox Smith; and her siblings, Gayle Short (Joyce), Keith Short (Vivian), Rodney Short, Neal Short (Donna) and Shelia Sipe (David).
