She was predeceased by: her parents, Elcie Allan and Lucille Lockhart Shepard. She is survived by: her significant other Lee Freeman; her brothers, Jerry Shepard and Jeff Shepard (Joyce) of Ellerbe; her nephews, Sam Shepard and Jeffrey Shepard (Roxanne); and her niece Felicia Morgan (Shannon).
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 23rd 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Carter Funeral Home- Ellerbe (143 Church St, Ellerbe, NC 28338). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the First Baptist Church of Ellerbe (2116 Main St, Ellerbe, NC 28338). A burial will be held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 at the Ellerbe Cemetery (304 Millstone Rd, Ellerbe, NC 28338).
