He was predeceased by : his parents, Wiley Morgan and Lurenda Earp Morgan; his siblings, Ella M. Johnson and Bill Morgan; and his half-siblings, Effie Mullen (Ethel Wier) and Edward Mullen.

He is survived by : his children, Angie (Larry Brantley) of Elm City and Don Morgan of Middlesex; his granddaughter Jadeyn Noelle Brantley; and his former life partner Faye Brewer Morgan.

A graveside service was held on Tuesday, April 9th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Spring Hope Memorial Gardens (7881 Webbs Mill Rd, Spring Hope, NC 27882).
