He was predeceased by: his wife Janet Williamson Daniel; his parents, John Wesley Daniel and Jessie Finch Daniel; and his great grandchild Nolan Lee. He is survived by: his children, John Wesley Daniel III (Jenny) of Elm City, Mandy Daniel of Elm City and Gretchen Hunt (Robin) of Elm City; his grandchildren, Jessica Lee (Tristan), Daniel Boykin (Stephanie), John Daniel IV (Autumn), Stephen Daniel, Owen Hunt, Samuel Overton and Lydia Hunt; his great grandchildren, Bennett Lee, Turner Lee, Brooke Boykin and Blake Boykin; and his sister Helen Shingleton (Dan) of Elm City.
