She is survived by: her children, John Anthony Mercer of Wilson and Macon McCoy (Mark) of Elm City; her stepson Junior Brinkley (Rachel) of Wilson; her grandchildren, Owen Cockrell, Brennan Elizabeth Cockrell, Addison Brinkley and Gracyn Brinkley; her brother Keith Jett (Jennifer) of Lucama; her stepsister Ernestine Hardy of Goldsboro; and her pet Moana.
