He was predeceased by: his parents, Grace Gardner and Leland Gardner; his siblings, Rhonda Faye and Jesse Gardner; and his niece Teri Summerlin.
He is survived by: his wife Joy Gardner; his daughters, Amber Gardner and Leslie Lauren Robbins; his son-in-law Miller; his stepchild Mallory Walston (Aaron); his stepgrandchildren, Luke and Chase; his stepson Brian Glover (Janie); his stepgranddaughter Liza Grace; his stepchild Lynn Summerlin (Johnny); his brother Brian "Peanut" Gardner (Beck); and his sibling's children, Wayne Summerlin (Christy), Brad Gardner (Kim), Travis Wethington (Mandy), Danielle Hoerter (Ryan), Kerry Shankle (David) and Jeslyn Bunn (Austin). He is also survived by many cousins, great nieces, and great nephews.
