She was predeceased by: her parents, James E. Tate and Virginia L. Tate; and her sister Gina Williams (Bob). She is survived by: her husband David R. Cummings; her children, Tiffany Moore (Bud) of Burlington, David, DJ Cummings (Nicole) of Haw River and Stephen T. Cummings (Courtney) of Salem, WV.; her grandchildren, Amanda Lewis (Dalton), Eli Cummings, Avery Cummings, Max Cummings, Tyler Moore (Kelli), Ryan Moore and Wyatt Moore; her brother Tim Tate (Lynn); and her great grandchild Rorie Moore.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations made Cheryl Cummings memory to The Humane Society of Alamance County.
