He is survived by: his wife Betty Jo Gilbert; his son David Bryant Gilbert, Jr.; his niece Cynthia Paschal (Keith); his great-nephew Zach; his nephew Gregory Ward; his granddaughter Olivia Ward; and his pet Molly.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:45 PM at the Bethlehem Christian Church (3625 Altamahaw Church St, Elon, NC 27244). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 at 3:45 PM at the Bethlehem Christian Church (3003 Altamahaw Racetrack Rd, Elon, NC 27244).
