He was predeceased by: his parents, Lewis Scott and Hattie Allison Scott; his great grandchild Madalynn Grace Satterfield; and his siblings, Katie Lee Scott, Charlie Hayes Scott, Arthur Tom Scott, Joe Forrest Scott and Robert Lewis Scott.
He is survived by: his wife Donnie Joette Wilson Scott; his daughter Joette Murphy (David); and his grandchildren, Taylor Laine Murphy Smith (Stephen) and Chase Montgomery Murphy.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, July 20th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Shallow Ford Christian Church (1263 Shallowford Church Rd, Elon, NC 27244). A graveside service will be held on Sunday, July 20th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 4:30 PM at the Shallow Ford Christian Church Cemetery (1263 Shallowford Church Rd, Elon, NC 27244). Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 20th 2025 at 4:30 PM at the Shallow Ford Christian Church (1263 Shallowford Church Rd, Elon, NC 27244).
