He was predeceased by : his grandparents, Daisy, Jason Hewitt, Dave and Dot Ward; and his uncle Roger Hewitt.

He is survived by : his parents, Jason Garland Hewitt, Jr. and Laura Gaynell Ward Harville; his daughter Kristin Myers; his grandchildren, Aayden Leigh and Stephen Myers; and his sisters, Dana Hewitt (Bradley Barber) and Barbara Leigh (Allen).
