It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joann Cousin (Elon, North Carolina), who passed away on May 27, 2025, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Guy Thomas Daye and Louella Warren Williamson. She is survived by: her husband Donald G.; her son Donald "Rod"; her cousin Nicole (Tamara); her grandson Justin; her cousins, Ashlee Richmond (Deja), Trey and Averie Rideout (Xavier); her great grandchildren, Laila Richmond and Nyomi Newman; and her siblings, Clifford Lee Daye (Deloris), Raymond Lee Daye (Catherine), George Wesley Tate, Steve Alexander Daye (Wanda), Margaret Totten, Mary Sue Duncan, Christine Black, Henrietta Stoman and Pauline Tate. She is also survived by nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
A wake was held on Saturday, May 31st 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the Elon First Baptist Church (113 Lynn St, Elon, NC 27244). A funeral service was held on Saturday, May 31st 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, May 31st 2025 at the Alamance Memorial Park (4039 S Church St, Burlington, NC 27215).
