As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Joe may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William "P. F." Higgins and Cora "Brooksie" Joyce Higgins; and his sister Nancy Buie of Asheboro. He is survived by: his wife Zelma Andrews Higgins; his children, David Higgins (Martha) and Nancy Gregory (Jim); his granddaughter Amanda Gregory; and his brother John Higgins.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the First United Methodist Church (1630 Westbrook Ave, Elon, NC 27244).
