He was predeceased by: his parents, Julius Vance and Vaden Gant; his granddaughter Charlee Jane; and his brothers-in-law, Jim Spruill and Bill Crane.
He is survived by: his wife Paula Jane McIntyre Hensley; his son Craig Hensley; his daughter-in-law Alison; his grandchildren, Mac, Andrew Hensley, Penelope and Fitz Archer; his sister Melba Crane; his sisters-in-law, Linda Hornaday, Glenda Spruill and Anna McIntyre; and his nieces and nephews, Aric Crane (Heather), David (Joell), Addie Flynn (Lou) and Ivey Archer (Amos).
Visitation was held on Friday, June 13th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:45 PM at the Lowe Funeral Home & Crematory (2205 S Church St, Burlington, NC 27215). A celebration of life was held on Friday, June 13th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Lowe Funeral Home Chapel (2205 S Church St, Burlington, NC 27215).
