He is survived by: his wife Dottie Mooney Gibbs; his children, Jesse Gibbs Jr. (Shelby) of Engelhard and Lisa Overby of Greenville; his grandchildren, Laney Mackenzie Gibbs, Jesse Reese Gibbs, Sidney Pidgeon (Zach) and Harrison Overby; his great grandchild Everett Pidgeon; and his brothers, Jimmy Gibbs (Sandra) of Engelhard and Jackie Gibbs (Gloria) of Scotland Neck. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
