It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Arletha Smith (Erwin, North Carolina), who passed away on September 29, 2022, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She is survived by : her daughters, Linda Smith of East Rutherford, NJ and Cynthia Smith of Durham, NC; her grandchildren, Amon Elam and Khadira Peterson; her sister Willie Mae McNeill (John) of Erwin, NC; and her siblings-in-law, George A. Smith (Catherine) of Erwin, Benjamin F. Smith (Jessie) of Erwin, Booker T. Smith (Cather) of Fayetteville, NC, Anna Smith of Erwin, NC, Herlene Blount and Mildred Smith of Bunnlevel, NC. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
