It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Debora Ann Grindstaff of Erwin, North Carolina, who passed away on August 24, 2025, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Ed Johnson and Elna Peterson Johnson; her husband Larry Grindstaff; her children, Crystal Grindstaff (Todd Bennett) of Green Mountain and Shannon Grindstaff (Celeste) of Burnsville; her close friend Rick Connely of Johnson City, TN; her siblings, Linda Gray (Jack) of Poplar and Eddie Johnson (Renee) of Elizabethton, TN; her grandchildren, Mariah Norton, Zackary Norton and Morgan Grindstaff; her siblings' children, Robbie Gray of Erwin, TN and Cindy Cruz of Elizabethton, TN; and her pet Rocky.
In lieu of flowers the family requested that memorial donations be made to Yancey Funeral Services to help the family with expenses. Keep Debora's legacy alive by donating to a charity in need.
