He is survived by: his daughters, Elizabeth, Ethel, Alice, Mary and Winnie; his brother Herbert; his wife Judith Lynn Carter; his children, Pamela Heimann, Scott Wright and MIchael Carter; his stepdaughters, Tammy Jones and Julie Edgecomb; and his grandchildren, Amanda Elmore, Brian Cole, Angela Cole, Brianna Wagner, William Kirk, Willem Carter, Christopher Carter and Richie Heimann. He is also survived by 15 great grandchildren.
