He was predeceased by: his parents, George Joseph, Sr. and Elizabeth Joseph; and his brother Louis Joseph. He is survived by: his wife Sallie Ann Joseph; his children, Tracie Johnson (Jim) of Benson, Sue Joseph of Dunn and Michael Joseph (Cortney) of Charlotte; his grandsons, Brandon Johnson (Alesia), James Johnson (Hannah) and Joseph Johnson (Emmy); his great grandchildren, Brandelin Johnson, Brantley Johnson and James Johnson, IV; and his sister-in-law Sandra Joseph. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
