He was predeceased by: his parents, John Lloyd Ryals, Sr. and Virginia Pearl Ryals (Capps) of Erwin; and his close friend Kathleen Jackson of Erwin. He is survived by: his siblings, Agatha Pearl (Ryals), Hayes (late Wiley), George "Pete" Edward Ryals (late Bettie) of Erwin, Clifton Ray Ryals (Dale) of Erwin and Gerald "Jerry" Vernon Ryals (Brenda) of Russiaville, IN.. He is also survived by his extended family which includes many nieces, nephews and cousins.
