It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Sexton M. Vann Jr. of Erwin, North Carolina, who passed away on May 8, 2025, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his mother Roberta Cottle Vann; and his wife Annie Elizabeth Williford Vann. He is survived by: his children, Christie Hamilton (Clay Hamilton) of Dunn and Jason Vann (Candace Vann); his grandchildren, Devyn Hamilton Blackman (Jaret Blackman), Karson Hamilton, Adley Vann and Aiden Vann; and his sisters, Judy Glover (Sherill Glover) of Erwin and Linda McCauley (Jimmy McCauley) of Erwin. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 13th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Skinner and Smith Funeral Home (905 Erwin Rd, Dunn, NC 28334). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 13th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Skinner & Smith Funeral Home Chapel (905 Erwin Rd, Dunn, NC 28334).
