He is survived by : his children, Sherri Stansell (William) of Mills River, Gary Patterson (Mary) of Black Mountain, NC and Jeff Patterson (Vickie) of Edneyville, NC; his grandchildren, Cati Patterson Harris, Joshua DeGhetto, Jessie Stansell Felder, Brian Lyda and Melanie Strickland; his great grandchildren, Katelyn Felder, Scarlett DeGhetto, Wyatt DeGhetto, Rhett DeGhetto, Jordon Strickland, Gavin Strickland, Braden Strickland, Blake Lyda, Evan Lyda and Jordan Ballard; and his great great grandchild Braxton Burnett.
