We are sad to announce that on March 31, 2024 we had to say goodbye to Shirley McCarson Cherrix of Etowah, North Carolina. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Tavie J. McCarson and Rosa Bryant McCarson; her son Steve M. Souther; and her siblings, Jack of Roy, JA, Doris and Kenneth McCarson (Richard Cherrix).

She is survived by : her daughter Gale S. Barnett (Johnny); her grandchildren, Bryant Barnett, Brooke Barnett, TJ Souther (Hannah) and Sarah Bond (Kell); her great grandchildren, Alina Bond, Cooper Bond, Luke Bond, Levi Bond and Savannah Souther; her daughter-in-law Linda A. Souther; her close friends, Alva Owensby, Janet Henry and Sheila McCall; and her friends, John Winstead of Charlotte and Jim Vance.
