She was predeceased by: her parents, Ralph Benton Sr. and Clennie Bell Smith Benton; her husband George Buren Nance; and her siblings, Ralph Benton Jr. and Frances Benton Horton.
She is survived by: her children, Karen N. Hewitt (Legrande) of Whiteville, George Benton Nance (Lisa) of Chadbourn, Charles D. Nance (Andrea) and Jason Corey Nance (Brittany) of Whiteville; her siblings, Linda B. Fields Evergreen (Tommy) and Burney Benton (Mahala) of Evergreen; her grandchildren, Kelli Greene (David), Megan Cox (Jay), Gerrad Nance, Chandler Nance, Emma Nance, Grace Nance, Leah Nance, George Nance, Dawson Spivey and McKenzie Spivey; and her great grandchildren, Parker Greene, Karlen Greene, Levi Cox, Avery Belle Cox and Archer Nance.
