She was predeceased by: her parents, Ralph Benton Sr. and Clennie Bell Smith Benton; her husband George Buren Nance; and her siblings, Ralph Benton Jr. and Frances Benton Horton.
She is survived by: her children, Karen N. Hewitt (Legrande) of Whiteville, George Benton Nance (Lisa) of Chadbourn, Charles D. Nance (Andrea) and Jason Corey Nance (Brittany) of Whiteville; her siblings, Linda B. Fields Evergreen (Tommy) and Burney Benton (Mahala) of Evergreen; her grandchildren, Kelli Greene (David), Megan Cox (Jay), Gerrad Nance, Chandler Nance, Emma Nance, Grace Nance, Leah Nance, George Nance, Dawson Spivey and McKenzie Spivey; and her great grandchildren, Parker Greene, Karlen Greene, Levi Cox and Avery Belle Cox.
Visitation will be held on Monday, May 12th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Worthington Funeral Home (405 E Strawberry Blvd, Chadbourn, NC 28431). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 13th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Evergreen Methodist Church (7266 Old U. S. Hwy 74, Evergreen, NC 28438).
In lieu of Flowers the family request donations be made to the Evergreen Methodist Church Cemetery Fund or Evergreen Methodist Church PO Box 303 Evergreen, NC 28438.
