She was predeceased by : her parents, Robert "Bobby" Bennett and Annie Jane Dyson. She is survived by : her son Kevin Hodge of Tabor City; her brother Robert Bennett of Little River, SC; and her close friend Charles Dupree Norris Jr. of Evergreen. She is also survived by two grandsons; and five bonus grandchildren.
