With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Alice Lavon Byrd of Fairmont, North Carolina, who passed away on August 3, 2022 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Linwood E. Walters and Vera Walters; her husband Robert Allen Byrd; and her grandson Knox McKee. She is survived by : her daughters, Pam Simmons (Ronald) of Fairmont, NC and Cristy McKee (Key) of Lumberton, NC; her grandchildren, Ronnie Simmons, Michael Simmons and Nikki Phillips; her great grandchild Jayden Phillips; her siblings, Tommy Walters (Audrey) of Lumberton, NC and Beth Callahan (Wayne) of Fairmont, NC; and her nieces and nephews, Janet Lane, Tim Callahan, Jamie Walters and Travis Walters.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests you make a donation to your favorite charity.
