Denise Purcell Garrison Obituary

Mrs. Denise Carol Purcell Garrison, age 58, of Fairmont, NC passed away Saturday, December 10, 2022 at UNC Health Southeastern in Lumberton, NC. She was born July 3, 1964 in Robeson County, NC to the late Jerry Purcell and the late Deloris Oxendine Purcell.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Frances Chavis, and her sister, Sonja Purcell.

Denise is survived by her husband, Jay Eugene Garrison of the home; two daughters, Cortney Garrison (Joshua) of Red Springs, NC and Haley Hardee (Andrew) of Lumberton, NC; one sister, Michele Smith (Smitty) of Lumberton, NC; five grandchildren: Ayden, Connor, Jon Grace, Maddison, and Peyton; two special aunts, Janie McFarland and Vista Cain; and a host of other family and friends.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, December 14, 2022 at 2:00PM at Piney Grove Baptist Church, 427 Gaddy Road in Fairmont, NC with Revs. Gary Deese and Howard Jacobs officiating.

Friends are invited to visit with the family at the home of Michele and Smitty Smith.
