It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Doreen Mitchell Oxendine of Fairmont, North Carolina, who passed away on March 26, 2023, at the age of 66, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Gordon Mitchell and Dora Hammonds Mitchell; her husband Timmy Oxendine; and her sisters, Cathy Pierce, Jeannie Jacobs, Geraldine Locklear and Helene Mitchell.
She is survived by : her daughter Rosemary Chavis (Rodney) of Fairmont; her siblings, Gregory Mitchell of Pembroke, James Mitchell (Erica) of Pembroke, Kenny Mitchell (Elizabeth) of Bladenboro, Annette Jones (Joe) of Pembroke and Melissa Mitchell of Lumberton; her grandsons, Cody Chavis and Keith Dwayne Chavis of Gresham; her niece Brooke Chavis; her brother-in-law Malcolm Pierce; and her nephew Jerry Mitchell. She is also survived by other relatives and friends.
